Jewellery Photography
I shoot versatile stunning high end imagery that can be used on websites, social media, for press & editorials, advertising, magazines, catalogues & POS displays.
I first had the opportunity to photograph jewellery while working at Christies. You get to see some of the finest jewellery that has ever been created, from Fabergé to Cartier - & The Collection of H.R.H The Princess Margaret. Recently I had the chance to take photograph's for a new Oxfordshire based bespoke fine jeweller's "Ventura" you need patience and an eye for detail, I love building up all the elements to create the best image I can.
Focus Stacking
Focus stacking is a photography technique where multiple images, each with a different focus point, are combined to create a single image with a larger depth of field.
This benefits jewellery photography by creating a larger depth of field, ensuring that more of the piece is in sharp focus, especially when using a macro lens.
This is crucial for capturing intricate details like gemstone facets & engravings, which can be lost with shallow depth of field, ensuring that every detail of your jewellery piece is sharp & clear.
